Kent Hospital is a fully-equipped medical complex, one of the largest and most modern hospitals in southeastern Europe. It is built on 35,000 square meters according to American Institute of Architects' guidelines. The world famous Mayo Clinic provided consultancy on facility design, medical guidelines and administrative protocols which enabled our hospital to provide high quality medical care from the day we opened in 2004.

Kent Hospital was accredited in 2006 by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the most influential non-governmental regulatory body that assesses if a hospital meets specific requirements designed to improve the quality of patient care.

Achieving JCI accreditation is a rigorous process and requires supreme dedication and commitment by both administrative and clinical staff, as the accreditation is renewed every 3 years.

Kent Hospital provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services with excellent doctors who have international expertise and fine reputations. Modern technology is utilized by the hospital to ensure the optimal care and patient safety, for example, our online system allows doctors to access laboratory and radiologic images from anywhere in the world. Diagnostic images from radiology, coronary angiography, nuclear medicine and bone densitometry are archived digitally and made available for use within the hospital, as well as to local and international medical practitioners while maintaining patient confidentiality.

The cardiology diagnostic unit is equipped with EKG, Holter, echocardiography, and stress EKG equipment. Our state-of-the-art cardiology imaging unit is just steps away from the intensive care unit for quick access and therapy of critical patients.

We have six operating rooms that are designed around a ‘double corridor’ system. All operating rooms have positive pressure air systems with laminar flow and built in Hepa filtration. These safety features guarantee ‘clean room’ standards for our staff and patients.

The two 55 m² cardiovascular operating rooms and four 48 m² general operating rooms are also suitable for minimally- invasive and microscopic procedures.

The 21-bed Intensive Care Units are located next to the operating rooms, and are equipped with the latest monitoring and therapeutic techonology. Anesthesia / Intensive Care Medicine specialist physicians are present 24/7, and patients can be followed by their primary doctors through the hospital’s network system. The newborn unit has three intensive care unit beds, and transport incubators that insure safe and timely care for babies and children.

Patient comfort as well as patient safety is of utmost important to us at Kent Hospital. Satellite TV, free WiFi internet access and room service are available in all rooms and suites. Kent Hospital has 102 private single patient rooms and 21 intensive care beds.
