Physical therapy and rehabilitation is the specialty field that uses physical agents such as heat, action, ray and electricity to treat disease or pains affecting motor functions of the body and for rehabilitation of the patient. It consists of treatment and exercises by use of mechanical and electronic materials, hot-cold, light, water, electricity and sound waves, rehabilitation, treatments with the help of massage and manipulations.

Treatment of diseases mainly musculoskeletal system diseases and pains, neurological, orthopedic and rheumatic diseases and diseases requiring physical therapy and rehabilitation are carried out by the experienced and specialist team comprising of 2 physical therapy specialists, 3 physiotherapists and 2 support personnel at Kent Hospital, department of physical therapy and rehabilitation. 

Polyclinic and treatment services are provided 6 days a week between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 at the physical therapy and rehabilitation department serving to the all age groups from infancy period to the geriatric period. 

Physical therapy and rehabilitation program is planned by the personal characteristics of every patient, clinical situation and laboratory diagnosis. This program is conducted by the physiotherapist , masseur and service nurse with the leadership of physical therapy. 

Vacuum electrotherapy, ultrasound, short wave diathermy, traction, infrared and BAKER (Ziya bath), whirlpool, paraffin boiler and fango, hotpack boiler are used for treatment at the physical therapy and rehabilitation department. For the rehabilitation, Pulley, parallel bar, shoulder wheel, training ladder, finger ladder, wall bar,walker, balance ball, terebrant are used. Moreover, carbon silicone rubber electrodes are used in damp foam pads for the applications of electrotherapy unit.
