Services are provided to the patients requiring emergency care for 7 days/ 24 hours by the emergency medicine specialists at Kent Hospital emergency service.
Emergency service is a team work. Kent Hospital being one of the limited hospitals where only emergency service specialists work is in international standards with physical structure and equipment and dynamic team.
8 examination rooms are located at the service. One of them has negative/positive pressure compressed air ventilation system being for the benefit of the patient who have contagious diseases or immunity system of whom has been suppressed. In addition to this, 2 resuscitation rooms for two patients where equipment such as all the airway materials, mobile digital x-ray, Broeslow® tape for child patients, defibrillator, fiberoptic nasopharyngoscope and portable respiratory/CPAP devices used in intervention to the patient in life threatening conditions like traffic accidents and heart attacks are kept ready constantly. Our emergency medicine specialists can diagnose many traumatic injuries and other medical diseases fast with the Sonosite MicroMaxx® ultrasound device.
Our doctors inform the patients and the patient’s relatives about the treatment to be administered and the tests to be made after obtaining information about the disease and the examination and obtain the patient’s consent. If necessary, they request consultation from other doctors. The radiological imaging (x-ray, multi-slice CT and MRI) and laboratory services are provided during the normal working hours for 7/24.
Emergency service team has adopted working by taking care of patient’s rights and privacy as a principle. All of our records are stored by transferring to electronic media. 7/24 ambulance service is offered at Kent Hospital.
